Live streaming has exploded in recent years.
Creators across genres have turned to live streaming, with some describing the medium as a nostalgic way to connect intimately with fans in the fleeting days of TikTok swipes. Many creators also consider live streaming to be their main source of income.
In addition to heavyweights like YouTube and Twitch, TikTok is also putting resources into its own product that allows users to livestream. TikTok Live has become a way for many creators to make money.
How much can you earn on TikTok Live? One of the creators, sleepfluencer Jakey Boehm, said on TikTok Live that he made $34,000 in one month. On TikTok Live, fans pay to disrupt his rest, including turning on neon lights and playing loud music.
