The Social Shake-Up today announced the winners of its 2023 Social Media Marketing Awards.

Boncom's Adam Durfee has won top honors as Social Media Marketer of the Year for his work. They're turning Instagram into a virtual classroom for suicide prevention, creating national park dating profiles, and inventing fire prevention TikTok wrappers.
(Separately, the LiveOn Suicide Prevention Handbook, produced by Boncom on behalf of the Utah Department of Health and Human Services, lists the Best Uses of Social Media in Local Campaigns and Best Uses of Social Media in Activism Award-winning/advocacy campaign.)
IW Group's Terry Wong was named Digital Communicator of the Year for his work pitching Web3-powered campaigns to IW clients.
IW Group also took home the top honor as Digital Agency of the Year.
Northeastern University has been named this year's Social Media Team of the Year. The team also won an award for making the most of social media for its rebranding campaign for its work at Northeastern Global News.
