South Carolina Education Lottery officials announced in a news release Monday that a $300,000 winning lottery ticket was sold at a Circle K in the Palmetto State.
Anyone who purchased a Palmetto Cash 5 lottery ticket before Sunday's drawing should verify their numbers because they won the game's six-digit grand prize, according to the release.
The search for a winner is currently underway.
According to the release, the winning Palmetto Cash 5 ticket was sold at the Circle K gas station and convenience store located at 5372 Sunset Blvd. It's downtown Lexington, packed with mass merchandisers, retail stores, and restaurants.
The winning numbers for Sunday's drawing were 8 10, 14, 32, 38, power up: 3.
Officials said the Palmetto Cash 5 ticket matched all five numbers drawn to win the game's top prize. According to the release, ticket holders purchased the power-up option for an additional $1, which tripled the prize to $300,000 when number 3 was drawn.
Winners have 180 days to claim their prizes, lottery officials said.
South Carolina joins Arizona, Delaware, Georgia, Kansas, Maryland, New Jersey, North Dakota, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia in allowing lottery winners to remain anonymous11. Being one of the states, the winners have some privacy. .
