Phillip Schofield paid a young male colleague a six-figure fee as part of a non-disclosure agreement.
Sky reported that Schofield paid a six-figure sum to a young male colleague with whom he had an affair. This payment was part of a transaction that included a mutual non-disclosure agreement.
The payment reportedly covered the colleague's legal costs and compensation after the young man lost his job and home. Sky reported that Schofield's lawyer confirmed this.

Schofield was embroiled in the This Morning scandal last year, and quit the show in May after hosting it for more than 20 years. This came after he denied reports of a feud with his long-term co-host Holly Willoughby.
A week later, Schofield admitted to having had an affair with a former male colleague. He called the incident “unwise but not illegal.”
In an interview with the BBC last year, Ms Schofield said she had an affair with a male colleague when she was 20, and that they had five or six sexual encounters over a period of several months.

Schofield later quit ITV altogether and Willoughby quit as presenter of This Morning.
Last week, the ITV morning show finally confirmed its new permanent presenters as Ben Shepherd and Cat Deeley, while Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary will continue to host Fridays.
“It feels like a really special moment for Kat and I to be part of the next chapter of This Morning,” Ben said. “I’m honored to be trusted with the reins and to join Alison, Dermot and the entire team who do such a great job both on and off screen.”
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and ITVX.
