Kelly Rowland's criticism referred to the former Destiny's Child singer's decision to walk off the set of the Today show without acknowledging it at all.
“In the 28 years I've known her, Kelly Rowland has been one of the kindest, most amiable humans I've ever met, and I've had the blessing of representing her,” Yvette Noel said. Schur told “Entertainment Tonight” in a statement Tuesday.
Page Six broke the news last week that the “Survivor” singer left her morning show because her dressing room wasn't “up to par,” leaving co-anchor Hoda Kotb in a bind.
“Kelly and her team weren't happy. They didn't like the dressing room, so they decided to take her off the show and walked away. [Kotb] There was no guest host during the 10 a.m. time slot,” said a source familiar with the situation.
Today's staff were perplexed by Roland's sudden departure. That's because she was scheduled to co-host an hour with Kotb, the show's “darling” and “biggest hype woman.”
British singer Rita Ora replaced Rowland, 43, at the last minute, but later admitted she had only minutes to prepare.
“Well, this happened!” the “Ritual” singer, 33, captioned an Instagram photo and video slideshow co-hosted by Kotb on Friday.
“I had 2 minutes to get ready, oh thank you @hodaandjenna for inviting me to co-host the show…”
Ora also praised the NBC staff, adding, “It was so much fun because everyone was so nice and kind!!” 💗💗💗 With love to everyone who watched, maybe we should do more??!!!”
Kotb, 59, decided to shake off the drama surrounding Rowland's exit by praising him during Tuesday's episode of the “Today” show.
