Description of the commotion
Jenny explains that working in this industry means: Many people look at social media and online marketers and think they live their lives. All they do is travel around the world, party, hang out and make money. What most people don't realize is how much effort it takes to get to this point. ”
LeeAnne asks, “You talk a lot about hustle, so I'd like to talk to you about that.” Can you explain what that hustle has been like for the past 10 years? If you're listening to this podcast, you're either new to the industry or you're looking to level up and move on to the next part of your career. But how does one actually go from being an affiliate manager to a senior position in a very short period of time?
Jenny replies: “You can move fast, but you don't necessarily have to move fast. When I started, I had a plan. But what I was saying was, every two years, you need to step up from who you were. And then again, it just happened. It's not that I did it.
“I had to work harder, spend more time, study more, put in an extra effort every day. So when I explain this to people, I always say that I haven't lived in 10 years. I sacrificed friendships, I sacrificed personal relationships. I didn't start a family when I should have. All of this so that I could focus on super fast career advancement. It was a personal choice and I'm very happy to have done it. It's not as easy as it sounds. But if you're motivated, you'll do it. If you put your heart and soul into it. , it is absolutely possible to accomplish that.”
continuous learning
Lee-Ann asks, “How much information do you read per day to keep your skill level at its peak?” Your skill level is truly at the top of your game. How much time do you spend each day developing your skills?”
Jenny says: For example, let's say something crazy happens and you need to jump into it. But at any given point, not only am I studying to improve my skills, whether it's my technical skills or my online marketer skills, but I'm also deeply fascinated by humans and learning about psychology and personal growth. Always trying to read and understand. What moves humans.
“There are such interesting people in this industry. So as much as I can, I try to keep up with what's going on, where I think the industry is going, and what's happening in specific industries. I love talking to people about things. It's just finding out what they're going to do, why they're doing it, and what's going to happen. So most of my day is spent on that. I can say that.”
new traffic sources
Lee-Ann asks. “Where are you looking for new sources of traffic that are a little bit left field, rather than standard Google search or her SEO or whatever? Are you finding sources of value everywhere? Are you attending multiple events? ?
Jenny replies: “I make a living traveling. I get to understand first-hand what people do and what they're excited about to understand if I'm the right solution for them.” I'm very interested in working with everyone, because once you start working with traffic sources, you don't want to work with everyone. I want to work with smart people who understand what they're doing and want to scale. I provide support, consultation and optimization of setups to people who can scale up. We want to help you do that. You need to go to the right places, work with the right advertisers, work with the right traffic sources, and make sure that everyone there is in good hands. There's no doubt about it. Achieving that is all about building relationships. That's what creates trust.”
