When Eric McKeevey underwent chemotherapy and radiation therapy for Hodgkin lymphoma 30 years ago, the treatment was “particularly grueling,” he recalls.

This experience is one reason McKeevey, a communications veteran, was excited to join the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy. The Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing “immunotherapies that transform all cancers into curable diseases,” according to its mission statement.
Mr. McKeevey will serve as the organization's director of communications and marketing.
“Not only is it very personal to me from a life-or-death perspective, but these treatments have the potential to not only save lives, but also potentially improve the quality of life for those who survive. It’s also important to know that there is a gender,” McKeevey said. He is also a U.S. Army veteran.
Based in San Francisco, McKeevey most recently worked as director of communications and marketing at Incitro, a company that uses artificial intelligence to develop medicines. He previously worked in communications and marketing at Regeneron Genetics Center, Ancestry DNA and Edelman, according to a statement from the Parker Institute.
McKeevey also volunteers with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the American Cancer Society.
His role at the Parker Institute is to tell the story of the “important and impactful” work the organization is doing to connect with stakeholders, including scientists, researchers, academic institutions and investors. become.
