COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) — Invictus International is expanding into the Colorado Springs market, bringing 130 jobs with an average salary of $166,000 over 10 years.
CEO Jim Kelly said the expansion will allow the company to work more closely with military partners and tap into the regional military talent pool.
Founded by military veterans, Invictus International is a cyber operations, engineering and applied research company focused on providing solutions to national security systems and assessing vulnerabilities in those systems.
The company already has five job openings, with a preference for candidates with Department of Defense experience, and the location is strategic given the city's large number of military personnel and defense bases, a company spokesman said.
“Today we stand on the cusp of a new endeavor as we announce our expansion into the vibrant city of Colorado Springs. This decision was not made lightly and after careful consideration of the rich military tradition in the spirit and strategic importance of this region. As we evaluated many competing areas for growth, this truly became our top priority,” Kelly said.
Mayor Yemi Mobolade attended the opening ceremony and said he was excited about the company's presence in the city.
“We are grateful for the Invictus Promise of Colorado Springs, it is an investment in our local residents. The Invictus Promise of Colorado Springs means economic prosperity. The Invictus Promise of Colorado Springs is a testament to our welcoming business climate, talented workforce and world-class quality of life,” said Mayor Mobolade.
A company spokesman said the new location has not yet been decided.
