Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson have been engaged for six years, and amid reports that they are ready to tie the knot, a Hollywood source tells Page Six.

The Coldplay rocker and the Fifty Shades of Gray star, who share a $14.4 million beachfront home in Malibu, are now planning to get married, reports the Mirror.

However, friends said that despite some difficult moments and a brief breakup, they had actually been engaged for some time.

Johnson, 34, first sparked engagement rumors in 2020 when she was photographed wearing a dazzling emerald ring on her left ring finger.

She wore the jewel to celebrate her 34th birthday with Martin at the romantic Pace restaurant in Los Angeles in October, and was last seen wearing the jewel in November. He was honored by the Hope for Depression Research Foundation in New York City.

The couple also reportedly has the approval of Martin's ex Gwyneth Paltrow. Gwyneth Paltrow said last October that she was “good friends” with the Madame Web star and described her as a “lovable and wonderful person.”

Johnson just praised Martin and Paltrow for being like a stepmother to their children in an interview with Bustle magazine this week.
