The University of South Arkansas' Marketing and Communications Department won top awards in four different categories at the 39th Annual Educational Advertising Awards.
This national competition aims to recognize excellence in the marketing of schools and educational services. The 39th annual competition recognized winners in 54 different categories, subdivided into groups based on organization size, with gold, silver, bronze, and achievement awards awarded.
Southark competed with other two-year institutions with enrollments of fewer than 2,500 students.
The university's 2023-2024 Viewbook, a print publication that promotes the university to credit-seeking students, received the Student Viewbook Gold Award. This publication was photographed, written and designed by SouthArk Marketing Director Heath Waldrop.
A multi-colored t-shirt design with the theme “We Shine” won a Gold Award in the Other Collateral Special Promotions category. Designed by Waldrop.
“Be a Star,” a commercial featuring students dancing to an original song by website administrator Charlie Hankins, won the gold award in the category of digital video advertising under two minutes. Produced, directed, photographed and edited by Waldrop.
The YouTube video “Constellation Conversation,” featuring interviews with members of the men’s basketball team, won a Gold Award in the Special Video category. Produced, directed, photographed and edited by Waldrop.
We received over 2,000 applications from over 1,000 educational institutions and institutions.
The judges were selected from a national panel of education marketers, advertising creative directors, and other field experts.
