Fans are calling Conor McGregor a “marketing genius” as he continues to promote his upcoming film debut.
The UFC superstar, who hasn't fought since July 2021, has decided to use his long layoff to book acting gigs and become the “highest paid” first-time actor in history.
“Notorious'' is a remake of “Roadhouse'' and has received high praise for his performance as mercenary Knox, and will be distributed on Prime Video from March 21st.
McGregor has been attending premieres and press junkets, doing all the typical things an actor would do to promote an upcoming movie weeks before its release date.
But he's also doing his own thing selling road houses on social media.
The 35-year-old continues to post stills and behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, as well as videos of him showing off his acting skills.

Now, he appears to be trying to form a rivalry with Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney, who is promoting a film that will be released the day after McGregor's film.
The 26-year-old, who shot to stardom with her roles in Euphoria and Anyone But You, recently attended the premiere of horror film Immaculate.
“March 22nd, Immaculate”n.d.'' Sweeney captioned her latest Instagram post, which received 1.1 million likes in less than 24 hours.
Strangely enough, McGregor promoted his film in Sweeney's comments section, trying to start some kind of feud between him and the American actress.
“Roadhouse March 21st”cent” he wrote, earning the top comment on Sweeney’s viral post.
Many fans were shocked and confused by McGregor's response, while others praised him as a marketing genius who used Sweeney's star power to promote the film.
One person said, “The promo of the promo is genius (lol).”
Another added: “Brothers are promoting like G.”
A third person wrote: “A marketing genius.”
Someone else asked, “What is my goat doing here?”
Despite being touted as the second Arnold Schwarzenegger, McGregor wants to leave show business and return to fighting as soon as possible.
A return fight with Michael Chandler has been booked for over a year, but UFC CEO Dana White has yet to announce a date for 'Mystic Mac's' return from injury.
Behind-the-scenes issues appear to be preventing White from coming to terms with his biggest star, leaving fans increasingly concerned that McGregor won't return to the UFC Octagon.
I hope they can come together and seal a deal after McGregor is done with the Roadhouse promotion.
