Gerardes was born in Portugal and raised in Australia. He left Melbourne in his 2010 year and traveled around the world for over three years. The young entrepreneur then decided to find a more permanent residence in the United States. Gustavo's expertise helped Ambrose reach hundreds of thousands of customers and allowed him to generate $14 million in revenue from an average of $10 million per month. When Gerardes' efforts and knowledge finally began to pay off, one of his vendors, becoming increasingly greedy, endangered Gerardes' business through illegal activities. As the company's founder, Gerardes ran into legal troubles that temporarily tarnished his name and derailed his progress.
Good things never come easily. Gerardes encountered quite a few hurdles along the way. “Wrong businesses, greedy business partners, and even legal issues all taught me what to watch out for.
