App analytics company Sensor Tower has acquired rival Data.ai to create a powerhouse that can dominate the space and provide industry-standard solutions in marketing intelligence.
As part of the acquisition, both companies will remain standalone products for now, with no additional changes planned that will impact customers.

However, Sensor Tower added that it will lay off several employees from Data.ai's team as part of the deal.
