SmartBrief now offers video ad units in its B2B newsletters, an innovation that reflects the advertising industry's shift to digital video. The ads are designed to appear across email clients and devices, adjusting from inline video to animations and still images depending on the program you use to read your email.
Preliminary testing has shown that video ads outperform standard display ads by an average of 70% and, in some cases, by nearly 300%. These results are consistent with industry-wide trends, indicating that marketers are increasingly embracing video ads as an effective content marketing and lead generation tool. According to a survey by the Interactive Advertising Bureau, two-thirds of brand marketers plan to shift their advertising budgets from TV to digital video in 2016.
“SmartBrief video ads are another way for marketers to tell their story, and with SmartBrief they know they're reaching the right audience,” said CEO Rick Stamberger.
