KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WKZO AM/FM) – Next week, nearly 1,000 food industry professionals will gather in downtown Kalamazoo 00 for the Western Michigan University Food Marketing Conference.

The event, held at the Radisson Plaza Hotel at Kalamazoo Center, will feature CEOs, presidents and business managers from all areas of the food industry, as well as the latest information on WMU's food marketing programs.
Highlights of the 2024 conference include:
Pre-event reception hosted by Marc Anthony Brand and Constellation Brand.
The opening night reception, hosted by E. & J. Gallo Winery and Founders Brewing, will feature signature beers created especially for FMC.
The speaker lineup boasts world-renowned sales expert Victor Antonio and top executives from Amazon, Circana, Kimberly-Clark, Kellanova, Kroger, Meijer, NielsenIQ, SpartanNash, and more.
Taste of West Michigan is a returning event featuring flavors and dishes from Cando Kalamazoo, Kalsek and local chefs.
Hybrid in-person and virtual options to bring the conference to the global food industry.
Each year, the conference raises more than $100,000 for student scholarships and experiential learning.
The conference also includes updates on food marketing programs, detailing the alignment of academic programs with employer needs and innovations in teaching and learning. Conference attendees represent many employers who regularly hire WMU students.
