Barry Keoghan has reportedly signed a six-figure deal to succeed model Kate Moss as the new face of Diet Coke.
The Saltburn star, 31, has become the latest big name to promote the iconic brand, just a month after being appointed as its ambassador.
Barry, who was spotted supporting his girlfriend Sabrina Carpenter at Coachella over the weekend, rose to global fame with his critically acclaimed performance at Saltburn last year.
A source told the Sun on Sunday: “Barry ticks all the boxes to become the next global face of Diet Coke.” Firstly, he has been a fan of this drink for a long time.
“He has worked with Cork teams before, but now is the time to join the big leagues. He is one of the hottest and edgiest actors on the scene and has over 2 million followers on Instagram. I'm proud.
“His management team has made special moves to campaign and endorse, and he is in demand.”
Kate Willoughby and Holly Willoughby are former Diet Coke frontmen, while current ambassadors include Nick Grimshaw and AJ Odudu.
The brand is no stranger to using muscular actors to promote its low-calorie drinks, and the brand's historic ads regularly feature shirtless men.
MailOnline has contacted representatives from Coca-Cola and Barry Keoghan for comment.
Barry received international acclaim for his role in Christopher Nolan's World War II film Dunkirk and for his performance in The Killing of a Sacred Deer.
He won a BAFTA for his performance in The Banshees of Inisherlin and was nominated for a BAFTA for his performance in Saltburn.
As for his personal life, Barry recently confirmed his new relationship with American singer Sabrina Carpenter.
The two stepped out together for the first time on February 5th at W Magazine's star-studded Grammy Awards afterparty.
Last year, Barry split from his long-term girlfriend Alison Kierans after it was reported that they had gotten into an argument over his late night partying. The two gave birth to their first child, a son, in August 2022.
Barry and Sabrina's appearance comes after Barry and Sabrina, who were first reported to be dating in December, opened up about her sex life with the actor in a highly raunchy chat.
The Feather hitmaker opened up about her sex life to Cosmopolitan, telling Cosmopolitan: “Be smart and use your protection.”
She said, “At the end of the day, the number one thing I want to say right now is, no matter what you do, don't get pregnant.'' That's how I live my life. That's my sex tip. Be wise. Use protection.
Despite being perceived as overtly sexual, she said she is more innocent than people think.
she said: “But really, my advice is to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable. You can be curious and ask questions, but a lot of that is self-centered. So just do whatever you feel most comfortable and safe with.
