NEW YORK – Kroll, a leading independent global risk and financial advisory solutions firm, today announced the appointment of Karen Laureano Rickardsen as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (“CMCO”). As Kroll further expands its presence and customer base around the world, Laureano Rickardsen will spearhead the company's comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to support its business objectives and continued growth. .
In her role, Ms. Laureano-Rikardsen will oversee Kroll's global marketing strategy, internal and external communications, financial communications, corporate reputation, crisis and issues management, and corporate operations activities. As steward of Kroll's global brand and reputation, Laureano Rickardsen will work closely with Chief Executive Officer Jacob Silberman and Chief Growth Officer Rachel Posner to position Kroll as a category leader through powerful storytelling. Laureano-Rikardsen has more than 20 years of experience as a strategic communications and marketing leader, most recently serving as Chief Communications and Marketing Officer at Cantor Fitzgerald since 2015. In this role, Laureano-Rikardsen oversaw Kantar's integrated communications and marketing department. Fitzgerald's parent company and its publicly traded affiliates, his BGC Group and Newmark Group, are building infrastructure for automation, distribution, and measurement across organizations. Prior to joining Cantor Fitzgerald, Laureano-Rikardsen served as Head of Corporate Communications and Marketing at his CRT Capital Group, where he led public relations, internal communications, and marketing. She has also held senior positions at Credit Suisse and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein.
