JAMESTOWN, N.D. – The Jamestown Tourism Authority received the Amplifier Award for Marketing Excellence at the North Dakota Travel Industry Conference held April 8-10 in Fargo.
The Amplifier Award recognizes outstanding marketing initiatives. This honor recognizes marketing gurus who use a marketing project, a specific campaign, a marketing team or collaborative project, or an innovative idea to gain more attention and attract visitors to North Dakota. will be given to.
In 2022, Jamestown Tourism has set out to create 10 high-quality episodes centered around a variety of local experiences. These travel vlogs helped spread the word about Jamestown's “hidden gems” and iconic locations.
The project not only expanded its digital influence and social media reach, but also attracted record numbers of visitors to key Jamestown locations in 2023. The National Buffalo Museum, Frontier Village and the World's Largest Buffalo saw record attendance. Hosting more than 150,000 people, visitation to the historic site has increased and occupancy taxes have reached record levels.
“This project not only helped increase Jamestown's digital presence, but also fostered a sense of pride among the residents of the community,” said Visitor Experience Manager Alison Rimke. say. “We created a video to help visitors learn about Jamestown, but locals were reminded that we have so much to be proud of and share here. and helped create more ambassadors for the state.”
