In the aftermath of the October 7 attacks, countless influencers found themselves abandoned by brands for supporting Israel. Newly formed influencer marketing agency Barzel Media was launched to address this pressing issue.
Barzel Media, named after the Hebrew word for “iron,” aims to give a platform to influencers who have faced backlash for their pro-Israel stances.
In the aftermath of the October attacks, many influencers spoke out in support of Israel, leading to brands cutting ties with them and suffering financial hardship. Founded by Brian Spivak, Basel Media aimed to meet the new needs of influencers by connecting them with Jewish and Israeli-owned brands that share their values.
Support creators who support Israel
Spivak expressed his determination to support creators who stand up for Israel. He stressed that creators should not be forced to choose between their careers and their beliefs. Barzel Media aims to provide a supportive environment where influencers can freely express their values without fear of repercussions.
“Creators should never choose between their career and standing up for Israel,” Spivak said. “While volunteering in the influencer department of the Hostage Families Forum here in Tel Aviv, I met with hundreds of content creators who had seen their contracts canceled because of their outspoken support for the hostages and Israel. So we decided to create Barzel Media to ensure that the brands and influencers who are on the front lines of social media defending Israel always have the support they need to thrive.”
One such influencer, Bianca Jade, spoke about her experience losing a brand contract after expressing support for Israel and her position as a TV host. Barzel Media allows influencers like Jade to find support and partnership opportunities that align with their values.
“I was completely devastated when my support for Israel resulted in me being removed from my brand deal with London Town and my position as a TV presenter as a result,” said Influenza, who has hundreds of thousands of followers. Encer Jade said. “As a creator who has always championed humanitarian, racial, and social justice causes, I felt the need to lend my influence to the victims of October 7th. Even though I broke sales records, when I spoke up for the hostages and hostage families, they immediately fired me and I lost all my income to this agency. I'm very excited to have founded the company. I'm confident that with Brian, I will not only be able to express my values fearlessly, but I will also be able to promote an organization that shares those values.”
Barzel Media invites all interested brands and influencers to join this initiative. By partnering with Barzel Media, brands can work with influencers who advocate for Israel, and influencers can find a supportive platform to express their beliefs and rebuild their careers. Masu.
