NAMI's strength lies in its grassroots membership. Driven to make a difference, our Alliance members speak with one voice to help individuals and families affected by mental illness build better lives.
With more than 600 NAMI affiliates across the country, NAMI affiliates are an important part of the Alliance, along with 49 NAMI state organizations and the national NAMI headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. We educate by providing educational programs in thousands of communities across the United States. We advocate for and help shape the nation's public policy. Please contact us through the NAMI Helpline. We are leading the charge in raising public awareness, particularly through Mental Illness Awareness Week and his NAMIWalks. For more information, see About NAMI.
We are currently unable to accommodate new affiliate development in states and U.S. territories that do not have a NAMI state organization (WV, ND, PR, VI) or outside the United States.
