Mel B has reportedly signed a deal to star in Netflix's new series, Bear Hunt, starring Holly Willoughby and Bear Grylls.
The Spice Girl, 48, is said to have paid a six-figure fee to take part in the gruelling endurance show, which sees stars forced to rely on their survival skills to escape adventure master Bear.
According to The Sun, Mel flew to Costa Rica this weekend to join a cast of celebrities as filming begins for the reality show, which is due to premiere next year.
Mel apparently told friends that he had signed up to appear on the show to raise money for his wedding to his girlfriend Lori McPhee, 36, at St Paul's Cathedral in London.
Mel, who announced her engagement to Rory in November 2022, revealed that they plan to tie the knot in the iconic cathedral as she is an MBE.
Mel B will reportedly star in Netflix's new series 'Bear Hunt', starring Holly Willoughby and Bear Grylls.
She explained: “Because I have an MBE I am allowed to get married in St Paul's Cathedral. There are only a few weddings there a year so we are on a waiting list.”
Mel invited the Spice Girls, but added: “But they won't be bridesmaids – we're all too old.”
The singer's TV appearance will no doubt unnerve her Spice Girls bandmates, who may fear she will make further shocking statements about the group.
The Spice Girls reunited last weekend for Victoria Beckham's 50th birthday celebrations at Oswald's private club in London.
Mel claimed Geri had lied about her age in a recent interview and they were said to have had a fling before distancing themselves and Mel was thought to have had a 'frosty' reunion with Geri at a party.
A few days after the party, Mel appeared to address speculation about her interaction with Geri on Instagram.
Mel appeared to make amends, sharing a group photo with her Spice Girls bandmates on Instagram.
She wrote, “What an amazing girl power weekend with all my friends. Heartfelt love and respect to you all. #friendshipneverends.”

The Spice Girls reunited last weekend for Victoria Beckham's 50th birthday celebrations at Oswald's members only club in London.
Mel and Geri reunited at a lavish party at The Oswald's in London and posed for a group photograph with fellow band members Emma Bunton, Victoria and Mel C, who were sitting on opposite sides of the row.
But there have been tensions between Geri, 51, and Mel B, 48, after Mel claimed Ginger Spice is not 51, The Sun reported.
Scary Spice claims he “still doesn't know” how old Geri is because she always hid her passport close to her chest, despite them travelling the world together during the band's heyday.
And after the interview, the pair were said to have distanced themselves from each other at a party in Victoria over the weekend, although Mel B has since reportedly tried to intervene to reconcile.
A source told the magazine: “Mel tried to patch things up with Geri at the party but it didn't go to plan. Mel laughed it off but Geri didn't seem interested in listening to her and walked off.”
“When taking the group photo, Geri stood as far away from Mel as possible, which made it awkward to watch.”
“Geri wanted to be there to celebrate with everyone and have a good laugh, not talk to Mel about the embarrassing things he said.”
After the party, Mel appeared to make amends, posting a group photo with her Spice Girls bandmates on Instagram.
In the caption, she wrote that she has “so much love and respect” for all her Spice Girls bandmates.
The group consisted of Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner, pictured in London in 1995.
Later in the night, during a lavish celebration, all five Spice Girls came together to sing one of their hits, “Stop,” in front of star-studded guests – then they were separated again.
A representative for Mel B declined to comment to MailOnline.
Mel will reportedly star in Bear Hunt, which sees a group of celebrities being taught a series of survival skills by veteran adventurer Bear Grylls.
Bear will chase and try to capture the stars through the jungle before making it to the end of the show and winning.
Other stars due to appear include retired professional rugby player Danny Cipriani.
Netflix said about the show: “Bear believes there's an action hero in all of us – even among celebrities – but how strong is their will to survive?”
“As Bear puts them through their toughest tests, anyone who fails to impress faces the dreaded 'Bear Hunt' – a cruel game of cat and mouse where they are cornered and, if caught, removed from the show.”
