DiDi campaign
Ride-sharing service Didi has appointed Tim Farmer as head of brand marketing for Australia and New Zealand.
Farmer joins the company after more than eight years at Disney, where her most recent roles were director of marketing for Disney+, Marvel, Pixar, Searchlight, and Nat Geo.
Prior to that, she worked as communications planning director at media agency Carat.
Farmer said one of the most exciting things about joining DiDi at this time is the potential for significant growth in this market.
“The entire ridesharing category is well established in Australia, and DiDi has grown in the nearly six years since its founding and now has almost a quarter of the market share. “Our products and services are as strong as any on the market and can withstand the demands of a growing market,” he said.
“It is clear that we are a challenger brand in this market, and with that comes the opportunity to be innovative and try new things. With this in mind, we are connecting with the different partners we need. We're really looking forward to taking this to market while building a strong brand to support what is already a strong product offering. ”
Independent media agency Next&Co was appointed by DiDi as its full-service media agency in Australia following a competitive tender in February last year.
