Two outreach programs on 'Digital Marketing Awareness' and 'World Day on Workplace Safety and Health' were organized by the Department of Computer Science, University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) on Monday.
The program was organized in association with NSS Cell at Jorbil village in Ribhoi district of Meghalaya.

Dr. Chinmoy Bharadwaj gave a talk on digitalization and analyzed the current state of digital marketing, which plays an important role in increasing the traffic rate to a particular website. He also discussed the various benefits of digital marketing and encouraged the audience. In order to actively engage the participants, all group members initiated good interactions with the local people of Jorbil village.
A total of 70 villagers participated in the digital marketing awareness event. This is one of USTM's efforts to develop neighborhoods by encouraging local residents to participate in digital marketing and enjoy its benefits.
Meanwhile, nearly 50 factory workers participated in a workplace safety and health program on World Day.
