New head of marketing data company Wiland

In Colorado, marketing data company Willand has named Mike Gyngell, a former executive at Ford Direct, IHS Markit and RL Polk, as its new CEO.
Wiland's data and audience products leverage what the company describes as “the largest set of detailed individual-level spending signals ever collected.” This resource is analyzed by an AI-enabled response prediction platform to help clients target marketing strategies across “all addressable channels.” Last summer, the company launched his Wiland View, a suite of products that promises to help customers predict who will buy from “any brand” across multiple verticals.
The Board of Directors said Mr. Gyngell's appointment is designed to help “anticipate and quickly execute on potential future opportunities, particularly by building stronger customer relationships, expanding our services, attracting new customers, and further leveraging our services.” The move underscores the company's commitment to “building a strategic leadership team with aligned capabilities and experience.” Introducing new technology and building out the company's core data products.
Ginger (pictured) has more than 30 years of experience in the marketing technology and information industry, including providing data and technology solutions to direct-to-consumer organizations, automotive OEMs and retailers, the automotive aftermarket and commercial truck industries. This includes organizational leaders. Financial and insurance markets. Most recently he served as COO of FordDirect, and prior to that he held global leadership roles at IHS Markit, RL Polk & Co., Donnelly Marketing/InfoUSA and Wiland division Ultimate Data. He has been an elected Oakland County Commissioner in Michigan for the past 17 years, earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Oakland University, and earned his MBA from Wayne State University.
