Alina Xiong (Liberal Studies, '15)A Peace Corps Education Volunteer from Armenia, he was recently profiled by the global organization. She believes her experience studying abroad in Thailand during her junior year at Chico State University taught her the importance of community service and sustainability. Both are what ignited her passion for working in her community globally.

Chico State Cyber Security Club; USr0had a great performance at the recent National Cyber League competition, taking first place out of more than 1,000 teams from across the United States.
In further good news from our club, American Marketing Association (AMA) Chico State University was named Chapter of the Year at the AMA International University Conference in New Orleans, ranking in the top 20 out of more than 300 chapters.
Among the team's many outstanding accomplishments, the Business Administration majors: Natalie Bourne and Jasmine Vargas Both received honorable mention in the Perfect Pitch event. Natalia HolmesThe fourth-year Business Administration major received an honorable mention for the recruitment video he produced.Senior Kristen ChathamI graduated in May with a bachelor's degree in business administration and won first place in the student research competition and second place nationally in sales.
Professor of music, theater and dance Natalia Skoda has been selected to judge the 2024 Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC) Piano and Harp Merit Certificate (CM) Examination. Started in 1933, CM is a statewide music exam covering performance, technique, ear training, vision testing, and music theory.
In February, Škoda piano students Kandrisa Mwesiga and thomas hubbard He successfully performed Elias Davidson's “Milt” and “Diver's Ragtime” in the MTAC Butte Chapter piano duet recital at Butte College.
In April, Škoda piano students victoria alesandroni, April Smirnoff and Ellie Gifford I was invited to perform in Kirill Griadkovsky's piano master class at Butte College. alesandroni We played Beethoven's Piano Sonata in C-sharp minor, Opus 2. 27 No. 2 (I. Adagio). smirnoff We played Sergei Prokofiev's March Op.1. 65 No. 10, “Quiet Lagoon” by John George. gifford We played Bach's “Solfegetto”. In addition, Smirnoff competed at both the national and international level in the spring of 2024, and at the OPUS National Music Competition he took second place.
