This data was used to generate e-fits for typical readers, but please don't take it personally.
A reader survey revealed that more than half of Roll On Friday's readers earn six figures a year.
The largest number of respondents, 35%, put themselves in the £100,000-£199,000 range, close to the most common salary range for many lawyers at domestic, City, US and international firms.
Going up the salary pyramid, 10% of our readers earn a salary between £200,000 and £299,000, 6% earn between £300,000 and £499,000 and 1% earn between £1 million and £2 million.
A select group of readers made up of equity partners and CEOs earn more than £2 million, with 0.3% of them saying they have saved more than £5 million.
But when the final results were checked, the super-rich club was forced to expel a few people. ROF statisticians invalidated the entries of “Senior Substitute for the Earl of Earlswood” and “Da Vos”, both of whom had performed suspiciously well, despite one listing his place of residence as 2PQE and the other listing his place of residence as Antarctica.
But don't think you're a pathetic exception just because you're not earning a huge amount of money: around 44% of respondents earn a salary of less than £99,000.
The poll showed that 80% of the readers were lawyers, which is not surprising for a legal community website.
While Loffer has bases all over the world, the majority (over 80%) are in the UK, with at least half operating in London and significant presences in cities such as Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Cambridge, Leeds, Liverpool, Glasgow and Nottingham.
Unfortunately, the ROF is ageist, with 65% of its sample of 1,900 people being under 44 and 50% of lawyers earning less than $10 a year, and it also works against gender equality, with 59% of its readers being male and 41% female.
Overall, the book paints a frightening picture for the typical reader as a rich young androgynous man working hard in a British law firm. Nevertheless, I thank you for your patronage.
