Now that we've looked at each option individually, let's compare Mailchimp vs Brevo. Below, we'll look at pricing, email limits, social media integration, marketing automation, A/B testing, and more.
Unlimited Email
Technically, neither Mailchimp nor Brevo offer unlimited emails. Mailchimp's top plan has a limit of 15 times the number of contacts in the plan, with a maximum of 200,000 contacts. This allows you to send 3 million emails per month. Meanwhile, Brevo's top plan has no limit on the number of contacts and allows you to send 1 million emails per month.
Image Library
Mailchimp calls its image library a “content studio,” where you can upload and organize images, files, and documents. You can also connect the content studio to external platforms like Instagram or online stores to source images. It also offers a Giphy library.
Brevo's image library lets you add images in five different ways: you can drag and drop an image, upload an image, create an image from scratch, use a stock image, or use a GIF image. Mailchimp doesn't offer the ability to create images, but Brevo doesn't let you connect to your Instagram account or online store like Mailchimp does.
Social Media Integration
While both options technically offer social media integration, only Mailchimp lets you manage and schedule social posts directly from within the platform, while Brevo offers the ability to create WhatsApp or Facebook ad campaigns but doesn't offer organic social media management.
Marketing Automation
Mailchimp offers marketing automation features like email marketing, social media marketing, SMS marketing, ecommerce, etc. Brevo offers a range of marketing automation features, but your automation limit is limited to 2,000 contacts unless you upgrade to a more expensive paid plan.
A/B Testing
Mailchimp offers advanced A/B and multivariate testing, allowing you to run multiple tests at once. Brevo offers basic A/B testing, allowing you to test just the subject line and body of your email.
