LABUAN, June 12 (Bernama) — Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), through its Labuan School of International Finance, has signed a letter of intent with Chin Wee Trading to collaborate in supporting local SMEs and boosting their sales through innovative digital marketing.
Associate Professor Jeffrey Harvey Tanakinjar, dean of the faculty, said the signing marked the start of joint efforts aimed at enhancing and empowering chin ui trading.
“Faculty members are committed to leveraging their extensive business and finance expertise to drive sustainable growth for the company.
“We will also utilise our knowledge and experience in various business and financial sectors to support MSMEs like Chin Oui Trading. Our aim is to ensure their sustainable income and growth,” he said at the signing ceremony here today.
As part of this effort, Jeffrey said the faculty is spearheading a project aimed at increasing awareness of Chin Ui Trading's products through various digital marketing tools.
“The project is not only aimed at expanding the company’s market reach, but also at providing our undergraduate students with valuable practical experience.
“The collaboration between UMS and Chin Wui Trading will promote the growth and sustainability of MSMEs through academic and business synergy, and represent a meaningful contribution to the local economy,” he said.
Chin Ui Trading Chief Executive Officer Liaw Ui Jun expressed his gratitude for the university's support and guidance in developing his business.
“Chin Wui Trading is known for its diverse range of food products, especially its popular deep frying flour.
“We are committed to providing quality products to our customers and are excited about the opportunity to expand our market reach,” Liaw added.
