Ollie Bareman will reportedly sign a six-figure deal to drive for Haas in 2025.
The British teenager will once again drive for the F1 team in FP1 of this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix.
Haas has allocated Bearman six FP1 sessions this season to keep a close eye on his progress.
“Obviously we rate him,” Haas coach Ayao Komatsu said.
“If he [under] Taking that into account, we will not have him in FP1 and his next time in the car will be in Barcelona.”
The Daily Mail reports that Bareman has already “secretly signed a two-year contract to race full-time for Haas.
The 19-year-old is expected to earn between £250,000 and £300,000 in his rookie year.
If Haas chooses to keep him for 2026, his pay could double.
Bareman will become just the fourth Briton on the F1 grid, joining Lewis Hamilton, George Russell and Lando Norris.
Bearman shone in his unexpected F1 race debut with Ferrari earlier this season.
Barman, who replaced the ill Carlos Sainz, finished seventh at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, becoming the third youngest F1 driver in history to win a Formula One race.
He is a Ferrari Academy driver who moved to Maranello to hone his skills.
According to the Mail, his talent is good enough for Haas to put him in their car next year.
Komatsu highlighted the requirements for a new driver: “Someone with a lot of experience, a great work ethic, who can fit in well with the team and really drive the team forward…”
“That's what we're looking for, so we're in discussions with a few drivers.”
Formula One's next big name is due to get in the car on Friday in Barcelona.
