Ayudante, a Japan-based digital marketing and digital measurement consulting firm, announced it has acquired Sparkline, a Singapore-based digital marketing company and a pioneering certified partner and reseller of the Google Marketing Platform (GMP), making Sparkline a wholly owned subsidiary of Ayudante.
According to the release:
The acquisition marks an important milestone for the region, marking an example of successful regional acquisitions by Japanese companies and strengthening regional companies' confidence in their ability to sell to international buyers. Sparkline, one of the first Google Marketing Platform Certified Partners and Resellers in Asia, is renowned for its industry-leading expertise in data utilization consulting. Ayudante, Japan's first Google Marketing Platform Certified Partner and Reseller, has expanded its international team to support its Japanese clients in expanding their business globally.
Ayudante's acquisition of Sparkline highlights the growing interest of multinational companies in Southeast Asia's dynamic technology ecosystem. With the Philippines being a key market in the region, Sparkline plans to eventually provide Filipino businesses access to Google Marketing Platform certified services. This coincides with the growing demand for data analytics and digital marketing solutions in the country, as the Philippine government places greater emphasis on digital transformation and embraces advanced technologies across sectors.
“We are pleased to partner with Sparkline, which has the longest history in our field of business in Singapore. Together, we aim to become the top GMP reseller in the Asia Pacific region,” said Hiroshi Yasukawa, CEO of Ayudante.
Aleetza Senn, CEO and founder of Sparkline, said: “Sparkline has always provided customized, agnostic analytics services to businesses using digital data for customer and marketing growth. Partnering with Ayudante is incredibly exciting and helps us expand that vision to more businesses in the region, especially at a time when privacy regulations and changes are disrupting the industry.”
The partnership will focus on Google Marketing Platform business as well as SEO and digital marketing in multiple languages. Developers from both companies will work together to enhance data development, tag-related automation, and digital marketing services in the GenAI era. This strategic move comes at a timely time for the Southeast Asian region, which is increasingly relying on advanced data analytics and automation to stay competitive.
The names of the companies will not change, and terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
After the acquisition, Ayudante's Chief Operating Officer, Takahiro Yamaura, will assume the role of Chairman of the Board of Sparkline under the new management structure. Mr. Yamaura is one of the most successful people in the Google Marketing Platform business in Japan, has written eight books and is a leader in the industry. Going forward, Mr. Yamaura will work with CEO Aleetza to accelerate Sparkline's growth in the Southeast Asian market.
