Radio Pakistan and a renowned digital media advertising company have signed an agreement to leverage the national broadcaster's various social media accounts for digital advertising and marketing.
Under the deal, Radio Pakistan will get 85 percent of the digital advertising revenue.
The step was taken in view of Radio Pakistan's large following across various social media accounts and websites, where millions of followers have already subscribed to listen to its news, entertainment and other informational programming across the globe.
Radio Pakistan is the country's largest broadcasting organisation. Currently, Radio Pakistan operates 22 Medium Wave, 59 FM and 18 Sautul Quran channels and over 50 channels can be listened to globally through the Radio Pakistan app.
Similarly, various news bulletins including Radio Habarnama and other programmes are also available on various social media accounts.
Taking all these factors into consideration, Radio Pakistan has decided to take advantage of the rapidly expanding digital market around the world, which will not only increase revenue for Radio Pakistan but also benefit the millions of users who subscribe to the national broadcaster's various social media accounts.
