SendFox is an email marketing tool from Noah Kagan, founder of popular SaaS tools such as AppSumo (business deals website), TidyCal (calendar management app), and KingSumo (freebies platform).
Noah claims that he was tired of expensive email marketing tools, so SendFox was essentially launched to solve his company’s email marketing problems.
I first came across SendFox when AppSumo launched their SendFox lifetime access deal: As of June 2024, you can purchase a SendFox subscription on AppSumo and get lifetime access to the tool for just $49.
Because this is AppSumo's own email marketing tool, we expect this deal to be valid for a longer period of time than AppSumo's other deals. AppSumo's lifetime access deal makes SendFox the most affordable email marketing tool on the market right now.
So, if you're on a tight budget but still want a reliable email marketing platform that lets you send unlimited emails to your subscribers and is easy to use, SendFox could be the solution to all your problems. It's the perfect combination of simplicity and affordability. That said, this tool is not without its issues.
Read on to learn more about SendFox's best features and what it's currently missing to compete with email marketing veterans like MailChimp and ConvertKit.
Before you get started, please take a look at the video review and walkthrough of SendFox that I published a while back. The video gives a brief rundown of all the key features you'll use with SendFox, but if you want a more in-depth analysis of all the features, scroll down and read the full review.
What is SendFox?
SendFox is an email marketing tool designed specifically for content creators like bloggers, podcasters, YouTubers, etc. The tool allows you to create, schedule, and automate unlimited customized emails.
As mentioned above, the only way to access SendFox at the time of writing this review is through AppSumo. Currently, the SendFox website doesn't provide any details about what's included in the tool or its main features. There's just a smart bar at the top that directs users to the AppSumo deal page. To learn more about the tool, you'll need to visit the AppSumo page.

In the next section, we'll discuss some of SendFox's key features.
SendFox Features
The harsh reality is that SendFox currently lacks some features that would help it compete with email marketing veterans like Mailchimp, SendinBlue, and even ConvertKit. From the lack of basic email and form templates to font choices and automation triggers, SendFox has a lot of room for improvement.
That being said, SendFox also has some unique features that make it an attractive email platform for professional bloggers and podcasters.
Some of the key features that SendFox is particularly worthy of praise are:
- Integrated RSS functionality – Bloggers will love SendFox's integrated RSS feature, which allows you to automatically draft your latest blog posts. This allows you to send your latest blog posts to your subscribers as soon as they are published with little to no effort.
- Unlimited email sending – When was the last time you signed up for an email service that didn't have a daily or monthly limit on the number of emails you could send? With SendFox, there are no limits on the number of emails you can send daily, weekly, or monthly.
- Custom Landing Pages and Forms – SendFox is not just an email marketing tool, it is also a lead capture tool that allows you to create custom branded landing pages and forms to capture leads on your site. These forms and landing pages can be easily integrated into your website to help grow your email list.
- Email Automation – Email automation has quickly become one of the key components of email marketing. Automated emails allow you to grow and nurture your email list at the same time. With SendFox, you can create a series of automated emails to your subscribers every time they join your email list.
- Auto-import from Mailchimp: If you are migrating from Mailchimp, you can use the “Auto Import from Mailchimp” feature. Just enter your Mailchimp API key and we'll import all your contacts from Mailchimp to SendFox.
So let’s take a look at some of the features that SendFox is currently missing.
- Lack of customization: For an email service that touts customization as one of its biggest selling points, SendFox unfortunately offers very little in the way of customization. Email templates only offer three different font types to choose from and no email preview is available, so you'll have to send yourself a test email every time to see how it will look in your inbox. Additionally, landing pages and forms have the most basic look and feel with no option to fill in custom fields.
- Limited triggers for automated emails: There are few triggers you can use for automated emails. For example, when you set up an automated sequence for new subscribers, the next email in the series will only be sent if the last one was received, opened, or clicked. You can't set the interval between emails, which can lead to subscribers ignoring your emails or unsubscribing from your list altogether.
ease of use
Lack of features aside, one of the biggest advantages of SendFox is that it's incredibly easy to use, even if you're new to email marketing: the interface is seamless and simple.
When creating your emails, use the simple WSYWIG editor to customize your email's fonts, colors, formatting, and links to stay true to your brand. Other features, like built-in forms and landing page creation, require little learning time, and setting up automated emails is hassle-free.
Analytics and Reporting
Email analytics can often be confusing, but it's something you shouldn't overlook. Tracking your email marketing performance can help you improve your email campaigns, reach out to your subscribers more effectively, and deliver tailored content to them.
There are four important metrics you need to track: open rate, click rate, bounce rate, and unsubscribe rate. SendFox allows you to track these key metrics for each email you send to your subscribers within the dashboard itself.
Next to each email you send, you'll see the open rate, click rate, bounce rate, and the total number of respondents who unsubscribed from your list.
Customer Support
All of Noah Kagan's businesses offer excellent customer support, and SendFox is no exception. If you're having trouble with setup or have a general question about email marketing, you can contact SendFox's customer support team by tapping the chat icon at the bottom right of your screen.
Final Verdict
SendFox offers the perfect combination of simplicity and affordability: If you're looking for an affordable email marketing solution that lets you create simple, branded emails without any hassle, SendFox is the ideal email platform.
On the other hand, if you're looking for a Mailchimp alternative, you'll be disappointed. While it's easy to migrate your contacts from Mailchimp to SendFox, this email platform is far from being a serious competitor to Mailchimp or ConvertKit.
So, before you change your email marketing service provider, consider your current email marketing needs.
