The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) of Guimaras, through its Negosyo Center in Jordan, held its second Social Media Marketing Webinar on June 21, 2024, with a focus on providing critical digital marketing skills to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
Themed “Small and Medium Enterprises in the Digital Age: Maximizing Opportunities with Social Media Marketing,” the event began with an introduction to digital marketing by DTI Guimaras, which set the stage for an in-depth discussion on leveraging social media for business growth.
GCash’s Jason Queliza highlighted the value of GCash’s digital financial services. “Features such as Scan to Pay, GScore, GCash Pera Outlet, GSave, GGives and GLoan help business owners streamline their financial operations,” Queliza said.
Queliza’s presentation explained how these tools facilitate online payments and transactions that are essential for efficient financial management for small businesses.
Peddlr Ph presidents Mars Sabilona Jr. and Karina Colleen Ilao highlighted digital and financial inclusion.
“Peddlr's platform helps business owners manage sales records, inventory, and create simple accounting reports,” Ilao explained. They demonstrated how these features can improve business monitoring and efficiency.
The webinar aimed to highlight the importance of e-commerce for both current and future SMEs.
Participants learned about safe, fast and convenient online money transfer methods, strategies to expand market reach and techniques to streamline financial transactions.
The event saw active participation from 30 participants, including small business owners and students, all of whom took part in the discussions and activities.
