Based on last year's performance, Ota would have received a bonus of more than $11,000.
Ota's release fee will be $75,000 in the first and second years of his contract and $55,000 in the third year if he moves to a Power 5 head coaching job. If he moves to a Group 5 head coaching job, his release fee will be $30,000 in the first two years and $20,000 in the third year.
