Data shows that Donald Trump's popularity on social media has skyrocketed since he survived an assassin's bullet at a Pennsylvania rally.
Within six days of the horrific attack, Trump's Instagram followers jumped by 1 million, growing from 24.9 million on July 12, the day before the shooting, to 25.9 million as of Friday.
The Republican presidential candidate currently boasts 51% more followers on Instagram than his political opponent, President Joe Biden, who has 17.2 million.

The TikTok hashtag “#Trump” was also viewed 668 million times within a week of the assassination attempt, while “#DonaldTrump” was used 282 million times and “#Trump2024” was used 157 million times, according to an analysis by social media marketing company VillaLift.
Notably, the analysis found that within three days of the shootings, Google searches for “how to register to vote” increased by an unprecedented 500% nationwide.
