YouTube is ushering in spring by revealing some new features for its shoppable videos. The latest update is YouTube Shopping include theme collection with the creator affiliate hub Full of marketing opportunities.
Shopping collections allow creators to select specific items to show off to their fans. Collections are displayed as shelves, and each item has its own purchasable icon. Although this feature is still new, several creators have already published their own collections. In a blog post, YouTube highlighted curated shelves from channels such as LongHairPrettyNails and Sydney Morgan.
“Collections will appear in creators' product listings, store tabs, and video descriptions,” the post reads. “At launch, creators will be able to create collections in the Her Studio app on their phones. This feature will be coming to desktop soon.”
