The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) held a press conference at its headquarters today to announce digital outlet 876Stream as its official marketing and sponsorship partner.
JFF General Secretary Dennis Chan welcomed the partnership, feeling it was the perfect time for the federation to prepare for the World Cup qualifiers starting in June.
Mr. Chung said that with 876Stream's track record, this partnership is expected to bring many successes to the national program.
“We are really looking forward to our partnership with 876Stream,” he said. “We believe they will add value to our products and greatly help us grow our brand as we prepare for World Cup qualifying and beyond.”
876Stream Managing Director Conrad Mattison said he was excited about the opportunity.
Matheson said the partnership aims to restore “pride and passion” to Jamaican football and add excitement to Jamaica's World Cup qualifying campaign.
“We're very excited about this partnership with JFF. We talk about it all the time,” Matheson said. “This is a huge achievement for us. The real purpose behind it is that we are excited to bring back the pride and passion of Jamaican football.
“We need to bring something like that back into the Jamaican community, at the lower levels, at the national level, in the stadiums and even at home. We need to talk about Jamaican sport with passion.”
