MONROE — Monroe County Community College's Marketing and Communications Department recently won two national awards in the marketing communications category.
Two Paragon Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Community College Marketing Communications were presented to MCCC at the National Marketing and Public Affairs Council's national conference in Seattle.
Joe Berkenes, director of marketing and communications for MCCC, said MCCC won a silver medal for the “Online MCCC View Book” and a bronze medal for “The Path to Print Advertising for Every Dreamer.”
“NCMPPR is the only organization of its kind to exclusively represent marketing and public relations professionals in community colleges and trade schools, and its prestigious Paragon Award recognizes outstanding achievement in design and communications in community colleges and trade schools. It is a recognition of this,” Berkenes said.
NCMPR has more than 1,500 members from approximately 550 universities in the United States and Canada. He said there were 47 categories and more than 1,500 entries from 210 community colleges and vocational schools across the country.
