An iconic Honda car previously owned by three-time F1 world champion Ayrton Senna has been sold for an astonishing £500,000.
The 1991 Honda NSX is currently available for purchase on the UK car marketplace Autotrader.
Senna, who won three F1 world titles in 1988, 1990 and 1991, helped Honda develop the NSX.
The Brazilian won all his championships with Honda engines and enjoyed a strong relationship with the manufacturer.
Senna tragically lost his life just under 30 years ago while driving a Williams at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.
Senna's old Honda has 39,100 miles on it and is currently owned by Robert McFagan of East Sussex, England.
The car's current owner, Mr McFargan, told the Daily Mail: “I first bought this car during a trip to the Algarve in Portugal in 2013 and have owned it ever since, proudly sitting on my property in East Sussex.
“Senna's red NSX was a gift from Honda, with whom he has a commercial partnership, and Senna frequently uses it and was even photographed with him during his stay in Portugal.
“I am a huge Senna fan myself, so I was very happy to get my hands on the NSX, which is perfectly built and has a sophisticated and powerful machine that provides a great experience on the road.
“It's a real pleasure to own one of the most famous cars owned by a true sporting legend. The thrill of driving Senna's car will never fade.”
