A Jeep Cherokee was brutally murdered earlier this year, but that hasn't stopped vigilantes from churning out eye-catching restorations.
Their latest creation is this 1975 Cherokee S, which was found in the Lone Star State and stripped to its bare metal. But that's just the tip of the iceberg, as this model features a “custom-built chassis” to ensure the latest upgrades fit in seamlessly.
As for the latter, power is provided by a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 that produces 485 hp (362 kW / 492 PS) and 475 lb-ft (643 Nm) of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and a four-wheel drive system with an Atlas transfer case. They are joined by front and rear Dana 44 and Dana 60 axles.

To stop things, there's a Hydratech brake system with six-piston Baer calipers. There's also an aftermarket power steering box, which promises to give this model “infinitely increased drivability and agility on the road.” These are joined by an upgraded cooling system, high-flow exhaust manifold, and off-road focused suspension with Fox Racing shocks.
Vigilante didn't say much about the exterior, but the Jeep has a beautiful Brittany Blue paint job that contrasts with the Glacier White stripes and roof. You can also see the bright chrome bumper and 17-inch wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires.
Inside, the seats and door panels are upholstered in tan Moore & Giles leather with an embossed floral pattern. This SUV is also equipped with a vintage Air Magnum V climate control system and his original AM/FM/CB radio.
Although this particular build was clearly created for a client, Vigilante noted that you can order your own builds. However, with prices starting at $295,000 (£238,037 / €276,200), it's not cheap.
