NBA YoungBoy's bail has been officially set as he faces serious charges in a prescription drug fraud case.
according to fox 8A court hearing on the matter was held in New Orleans on Thursday (May 9), and YB's bond was set at $100,000.
Arraignment is scheduled for July.

YoungBoy was arrested last month in connection with a prescription drug fraud ring in Utah.
According to the affidavit, the suspect functioned as follows: “The suspect claimed the identity of a real doctor, lied to the patient's name and date of birth, and requested prescriptions for promethazine with codeine. Some time after the prescriptions were called, they were filled and received. Masu. [YoungBoy and/or people referred to as ‘Known Associates’ 1 and 2]”
The rapper is also said to have impersonated a doctor during the plot, but suspicions arose after he used the word “abandoned” instead of “asked.”
NBA YoungBoy (real name Kentrell Golden) has previously been charged with identity fraud, forgery, obtaining a prescription under false pretenses, possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, pattern of unlawful conduct, and possession of a controlled substance. According to KUTV, the controversial rapper later had further charges added to his sheet, including possession of a firearm by a restricted person and two counts of obtaining a prescription without a permit.

He was later arrested on these charges in Los Angeles after a brief pursuit. During his arrest, another gun was found in his car, and a similar case was filed against him by federal prosecutors in California.
YoungBoy was acquitted of these charges in 2022, but is still awaiting trial in Louisiana on the original charges.
