Clacton Pier management is looking to improve office space and meeting rooms within the facility, as well as providing workshops for its technical support team and arcade engineers.
New training rooms will also be installed around the attraction as part of an investment plan that began with the construction of a new building next to the Log Flume Ride in 2022.
Construction is also well underway on four new offices, two conference rooms and a reception in space previously used for storage and equipment.
The staff room on the west side of the pier is being expanded and will include additional seating, a new outdoor seating area and bike racks.
General manager Harry Peake said huge investment had been made in visitor attractions over the past few years, but now was the time to upgrade staff facilities.
“While what we offer to our customers has improved incredibly, we must not forget our employees, who are key to our business,” he said.
“Their needs are very important to us and we have significant projects underway that we plan to complete by the end of the year.
“Our technical support team, carpenters and painters are already in the new workshop area, while the ride's administrative offices and training facilities are being completed but are not yet habitable.”
The seaside tourist attraction has also appointed its first learning and development manager.
The purpose of this post is to support your employees' journey from the interview stage to induction and continued development, giving them the best chance of a successful career possible.
A new induction program will be developed with a training and development plan for managers, followed by departmental training.
“The aim is not only to support our staff, but also to further improve the consistency of our operations and the level of service we provide to the public,” Mr Peek said.
Clacton Pier is looking forward to a busy half-term holiday period offering guests a unique dinosaur experience.
A free fireworks display will be held on Sunday, May 26th from 9pm.
