A $300,000 winning lottery ticket was sold at a Circle K in the Palmetto State, South Carolina Education Lottery officials announced in a news release Monday.
Anyone who purchased a Palmetto Cash 5 lottery ticket before Sunday's drawing should check their numbers because they have won the game's six-figure prize, according to the announcement.
The search for a winner is currently underway.
According to a press release, the winning Palmetto Cash 5 ticket was sold at the Circle K gas station and convenience store at 5372 Sunset Boulevard, located in downtown Lexington and densely populated with big box stores, retail shops and restaurants.
The winning numbers for Sunday's drawing were 8, 10, 14, 32, 38 and Power Up: 3.
Officials said the Palmetto Cash 5 ticket matched all five numbers drawn and won the game's top prize, but the prize tripled to $300,000 when a 3 was drawn because the ticket holder purchased a power-up option for an extra dollar, according to the release.
Winners have 180 days to claim their prize, lottery officials said.
South Carolina is one of 11 states, along with Arizona, Delaware, Georgia, Kansas, Maryland, New Jersey, North Dakota, Ohio, Texas and Virginia, that allow lottery winners anonymity, allowing them some degree of privacy.
“Please sign the back of your winning ticket and keep it in a safe place until you are ready to claim your prize,” lottery officials said.

According to the release, the odds of winning $300,000 in Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 1,405,438.
If Circle K delivers the winning ticket to the lottery distributor, it will receive a $3,000 commission on the sale.
In addition to the $300,000 first prize game, more than 4,900 other players in South Carolina won prizes in Sunday's drawing, according to the announcement.
