International affiliate marketing network Webgains and online fundraising platform Savoo.co.uk have joined forces to mark World Environment Day with an innovative affiliate fundraising campaign. Running from 3rd to 9th June 2024, the campaign aims to raise funds for the Rainforest Trust, an organisation working to protect vital habitats threatened by the climate crisis.
As part of the initiative, Webgains advertisers children's clothing brand PatPat and activewear retailer HALARA will offer exclusive voucher codes through Savoo, and a portion of the affiliate commissions from these offers will be donated to Rainforest Trust to support efforts to protect endangered species habitats.
To boost the effectiveness of the campaign, both PatPat and HALARA agreed to provide Savoo with increased commissions and exclusive pay-per-click rights for the week that the campaign runs.
Charity is part of Savoo's USP. The platform allows consumers to contribute to various causes while saving money and donates a portion of the fees to charity. Users can also track how much they have donated to each cause within the platform.
“We're thrilled to be partnering with Savoo and Webgains to raise funds for vital rainforest conservation through digital voucher codes, which means people can save money whilst giving back to society and helping to protect the natural world,” said Vicky Wallace, Fundraising Manager at Rainforest Trust UK.
During the campaign period, Savoo will donate 3% of affiliate commissions from offers redeemed on HALARA and 15% to PatPat. By extending the campaign period to coincide with World Environment Day on June 5, more visitors will be able to benefit from the special offer and contribute to the fundraising effort.
This partnership is another example of Webgains’ commitment to environmental and social issues: in July 2023, Webgains became the world’s first affiliate network to achieve B Corp certification, recognizing its high standards of verified performance, accountability and transparency.
Last year, I I spoke with Ami Spencer. We spoke with Spencer, WebGains' COO, about the company's B Corp certification, where he suggested that even with achieving the coveted B Corp status, the work is only just beginning: Becoming a B Corp company means continually committing to initiatives that support environmental and social responsibility.
It's encouraging to see Webgains continue to break new ground in this field with such exciting initiatives. Affiliate marketing is a valuable testing ground for blending marketing with sustainable practices. It's great to see experiments like this.
