Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are owed more than $200,000 on a 12-year-old bank loan, Page Six has confirmed.
According to court documents filed May 20, City National Bank is still seeking payment from McDermott & Spelling for a $400,000 loan made in 2012 that the company had promised to repay with interest.
The documents obtained by Page Six state that Spelling owes the bank $219,796.66, while McDermott owes the remaining $202,066.10.
“When a judgment is paid in full or settled, the court is required to seek enforcement of the judgment, and no such motion has been made in this case,” Joshua Friedman, an attorney for City National Bank, told Us Weekly.
The bank first sued the former couple in December 2016, alleging breach of contract, deposits and receipts, stated accounts and unjust enrichment.
At the time, their debt balance was $188,803.38.
In 2019, the bank issued another warrant of execution, claiming that neither party had yet made any payments and were accruing interest on six-figure debts.
Representatives for Spelling and McDermott did not immediately respond to Page Six's request for comment.
News of Spelling's financial troubles has been circulating since 2023 when the former “Beverly Hills 90210” actress made headlines after she moved with her five children — Liam, 17, Stella, 15, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau, 7 — into a camper for an extended stay due to “mold issues” in her home.
“Her financial situation isn't great, so it's been difficult for her to find a place to stay during that time,” a source told Entertainment Tonight in August 2023.
Spelling had also been criticized earlier that month for temporarily moving her family into a budget motel.
Things appeared to be looking up for the “MisSPELLING” podcast host after she improved her family's living situation in February of this year.
She and the Spellings moved to a spacious five-bedroom, three-bathroom house in the western San Fernando Valley, paying $15,000 a month in rent.
According to the Daily Mail, Spelling paid a $7,500 deposit to receive the keys to the property, which comes with a luxurious pool and spa area, an upgraded stainless steel kitchen with blue cabinets, and plenty of living space.
