Digital marketing agency Accelerant has completed its acquisition of web development agency Burrwalk, transitioning more than 50 of Burrwalk's clients into its portfolio.
Accelerant is investing heavily in the acquisition of Barwalk and its customers, more than doubling the company's customer base to more than 90 companies in total.
Founded in November 2023 by Tom Coates, Accelerant is a Mirfield based digital marketing agency providing marketing services including website development, SEO, branding, social media and digital design.
The company is initially offering website management and hosting services for new customers, prioritizing a seamless and uninterrupted transition.
Tom, Accelerant’s Managing Director, believes that the integration of Burrwalk’s customer base, which includes small and medium-sized businesses across the UK, aligns perfectly with Accelerant’s growth ambitions.
Tom said: “We are delighted to welcome Barwalk's clients into the Accelerant family and look forward to managing their online presence and driving their own growth through our marketing services.”
“This acquisition marks a major milestone for Accelerant as it adds to our existing base of approximately 40 active clients, supporting significant expansion and establishing further stability for the business following a successful first six months.
“Our priority is to ensure it is business as usual for Barwalk clients during this transition period, but we also look forward to the opportunity to explore additional marketing possibilities that could further benefit these businesses.”
Burrwalk is a specialist website development and management company based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, owned and run by experienced IT specialist and web developer Lee Burrett.
“After many years of experience successfully growing Burrwalk into a boutique web development company, we are pleased that our clients are entrusting Accelerant's superior technology,” said Lee.
After completing the sale to Accelerant, Lee plans to focus on other businesses in the future.
The acquisition was made possible with advisory support from Accelerant consultants Phil Taylor-Guck, Adam Matich and Mindaugas Bendikas, as well as Bruce McLeod of Ad:Venture.
