IntelliAM, an artificial intelligence platform that helps food and beverage companies reduce downtime and improve productivity, has completed initial funding, leveraging venture capital funding and the technical know-how of Yorkshire AI Labs.
The new company, which has secured a six-figure funding agreement, is led by CEO Tom Clayton, founder of UK maintenance engineering and asset management specialist 53North, and Chairman David Richards, a UK and US technology entrepreneur and managing partner of Yorkshire AI Labs.
Professor Keith Ridgway, founder of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre at the University of Sheffield, serves as a trustee and parliamentary adviser.
IntelliAM aims to revolutionize the way people interact with machines and make decisions in industry, bringing together domain knowledge experts from data science, technology, engineering and manufacturing.
The company has a pipeline of business opportunities based on long-standing relationships with blue-chip customers and large suppliers through 53North.
Opportunities include proof of value projects with a number of multinational companies.
Founded in 2013, 53North serves half of the world's top 12 food and beverage groups, with key clients including ADM, Mars, Müller and Weetabix.
