A renowned journalist with over a decade of experience, Ibrahim Ayyuba Isah has made a major transition into the dynamic field of Public Relations, Creative and Digital Marketing.
Known for his in-depth reporting and insightful analysis, Isa is now applying his vast journalism experience to make a big impact in his new venture.
Isa's career began with a strong foundation in journalism. He has worked for prominent media companies such as African Independent Television (AIT), Raypower FM and Rama Radio. He has held various roles including producer, presenter and radio personality where he has earned a reputation for accurate and compelling storytelling. Currently, he is a Senior Reporter with TVC Communications and hosts the popular show “Kano Spotlight”, where he provides in-depth coverage and analysis of happenings in Kano State.
“Journalism gave me a strong foundation in storytelling and audience engagement, and moving into PR and digital marketing allowed me to use these skills in new and exciting ways,” Isa says of her career shift.
His educational background is extensive and varied. Isa holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Bayero University, Kano, and a Masters in Public Relations and Communication Studies from the same university. He also studied Solutions and Data Journalism from Pan Atlantic University. He also holds a Professional Certification in Digital Marketing from London Business School. He recently completed a Masters in Digital Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute, Lagos, Nigeria, run by Digital Marketing Skills LLC, USA. In the field of Social Media, he completed the High Level Social Media Management course and received a Certificate from Avalocx University of Social Media, New York, USA.
“Education has been the cornerstone of my career, with each degree and certification giving me the knowledge and skills I needed to thrive in the ever-evolving fields of PR and digital marketing,” says Isa, emphasizing the importance of academic achievement.
Isa moved into public relations and digital marketing and has held key roles including Knowledge Management and Communications Officer for the Special Agro-Processing Zone Project and Public Relations and Media Relations Consultant for the Flour Mills Association of Nigeria. He currently plays a lead role in managing public relations and communications as a consultant for the WOFAN-ICON2 project in partnership with MasterCard Foundation. In these roles, he has demonstrated his ability to create compelling stories and strategic communications that resonate with diverse audiences.
As a digital marketing strategist and PR consultant, Isah seeks innovative ways to blend traditional journalism with modern digital technology. With his expertise in SEO, social media management, website development and video editing, he can create comprehensive digital marketing campaigns that drive engagement and achieve measurable results.
“The future of communications lies in the seamless integration of traditional and digital technologies. My goal is to pioneer innovative and effective strategies to ensure that messages are not just heard, but understood and acted upon,” Isa articulates his vision for the future of communications strategy.
Ibrahim Ayuba-Isa is also an associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), as well as a member of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kano Press Club and the Sports Journalists Association Kano Chapter.
