The John Thompson Scholarship will provide a full tuition fee waiver to one student who has already been accepted to a Digital Marketing MSc course at DCU Business School (part of Dublin City University) starting in the 2024/25 academic year. Candidates from all countries are open to applications.
The MSc in Digital Marketing is designed to provide students with the expertise to engage with consumers through digital channels. The course combines advanced research, academic excellence, industry practice and practical workshops. Lectures are delivered by experienced international and Irish experts in data analytics, digital advertising and marketing strategy.
The scholarship was established in 2008 to honour John Thompson, a prominent Irish newspaper executive who believed in the synergy between journalism and marketing for consumer engagement and commercial success. The scholarship encourages graduates from diverse backgrounds to study media and digital marketing with an emphasis on online journalism.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold admission to the Masters in Digital Marketing program.
- Have an Honours degree (2.1).
- Meet the academic and other admission requirements of the program.
