rock star Steven Tyler After parts of the lawsuit were dismissed, he asked the judge to award him large amounts of compensation from the alleged sexual assault victim.
According to court documents: Radar OnlineThe Aerosmith frontman said: Julia Missley [aka Julia Holcomb] They owe him $155,423 in legal costs in the case.

Missley sued Tyler in 2022. Sexual assaultsexual assault, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
In the shocking lawsuit, Miss Lee claims she met Tyler at an Aerosmith concert when she was 16. Tyler was 25 at the time.
She said he invited her to his hotel room, where she accused the singer of “engaging in a variety of sexually criminal acts.”

Missley said the two met and began dating after which Tyler asked Missley's mother to sign papers giving him guardianship of Missley.
The plaintiffs allege that her mother never signed the documents. Missley claims that she traveled with Tyler, where he repeatedly gave her alcohol and drugs and assaulted her.

In 1975, Missouri claimed she was pregnant with Tyler's child, and that he had asked her to have an abortion, arguing that the child might have birth defects because he had been caught in an apartment fire before she realized she was pregnant.
Missley decided to have an abortion, left Tyler and returned to her parents' home, the lawsuit alleges.
In her lawsuit, Missley pointed to passages Tyler included in his memoir.

In his 2011 memoir, Tyler wrote that he “almost accepted a teen bribe after the girl's parents fell in love with me.” [and] “I signed papers transferring custody to me so I wouldn't get arrested if I took her out of state. I took her on tour.”
Tyler asked that the emotional distress claim be dismissed. He argued that the words in the memoir were protected by the First Amendment. He argued that Missri consented to the conduct she now complains about.

His lawyer added: “[Holcomb’s] Attempts to reframe her long-running, public relationship with Tyler as a black-and-white child sexual assault case omit important facts and distort others.”
In March, a judge granted Tyler's motion to dismiss the emotional distress claim.
Now Tyler and his lawyers are asking the court to award them legal fees for the work they did to win the case.
His lawyer said: “These public statements [Misley]— are classic protected statements, and they were made in 1997 and 2011, more than 11 years before she filed her lawsuit. [Misley] As a result, Mr. Tyler has incurred over $142,000 in legal costs to contest her baseless claims, plus approximately $12,930 in additional costs to file the motion and anticipated response and arguments to the motion.”
Misley has yet to respond.
